I think I have some of the worse luck in the world, or it was just my turn to get screwed over on an internet order. So a couple of weeks ago I placed an order with www.sportsauthority.com for some new shoes I plan to use for my walks/runs through Golden Gate Park. I also ordered a weight set since it was on sale for $30. It took like 4 days to process my order and ship (way too long IMO). According to FedEx.com it shipped on the 2nd... and that's all the information I've had for almost a week and a half, my tracking info has never updated. I called Sports Authority and they put in a request to Fed Ex to find the package. I was told they usually respond by the end of the business day, but being in the business, I figured I'd give them over night since I regularly spew that kind of hope giving BS. Today I called and of course Fed Ex had yet to respond to the request, so no info as to where my package might be. I have had trouble with FedEx in the past and always hate shipping stuff with them. I asked the lady on the phone how long things typically take to ship. She said it depends on the item, but usually 3 to 8 business days, today being the 8th business day and nothing could be done until the 9th day. I then asked what would be done when the package doesn't arrive, she said a request to Fed Ex would be sent to find the package (which isn't that what's already being done??)... ugh. This is the last time I deal with the Sports Authority.
So now I'm stuck hoping my 28 lbs package eventually turns up. I'm guessing some lazy Fed Ex person went to lift it and felt how heavy it was, set it aside, and forgot about it. I wouldn't be surprised if it is still sitting in the place of origin.
